I completed my Masters degree at Reading University in 1987 ~ and have been producing my artwork and pottery ever since.

Alongside my own art practice I have worked as a scenic artist and have run art workshops and art projects for children and community groups ~ this provides me with the opportunity to maintain a balance between time in my studio and time out in the world sharing what I have. I have a permanent studio in North Wales and I am currently living and working in Mid Wales.

Painting is an essential creative and spiritual activity for me, intuitive, therapeutic and meditative, an internal exploration. The female figure acts as a symbolic device that enables me to express ideas, feelings and emotions.

I have experienced recurrent mental health challenges over the years and exploring and developing my art practice has provided me with a lifeline.

It is important to keep the child in you alive and not lose your love of life and your faith - your creativity enables you to do this… and there are many ways to be creative.
